Website Builder Speed Score Calculator

Estimate your page speed score based on image count, scripts, hosting tier, and CDN usage. See which configuration gives you the fastest load times.

Enter values to get started.

Estimated Lighthouse-style speed score based on page configuration. Higher is better. Scores above 90 are considered good, 50-90 needs work, below 50 is poor.

What this tool does

Estimate your page speed score based on the number of images, third-party scripts, CDN usage, and hosting tier. Use it to compare configurations and see which changes give you the biggest speed improvement.

How to use it

  • Number of Images on Page: count all images including hero, product shots, icons, and background images. Each image adds load time
  • Number of Third-Party Scripts: analytics, chat widgets, tracking pixels, social embeds. Each script blocks rendering
  • CDN Active: enter 1 if you use a CDN (Cloudflare, Fastly, or a builder that includes one), 0 if not
  • Hosting Tier: 1 for basic/shared hosting, 2 for mid-tier, 3 for premium/managed hosting

Why it matters

Page speed directly affects bounce rate, conversion rate, and search rankings. A one-second delay in load time can reduce conversions by 7%. Most website builders score differently out of the box: some optimize images automatically, others load dozens of scripts you never asked for.

How to use the result

The score is an estimate on a 0-100 scale where higher is better:

  • 90-100: fast. Focus on maintaining this as you add content
  • 70-89: decent but improvable. Check if removing one script or adding a CDN gets you above 90
  • Below 70: slow. Prioritize reducing image count and scripts before upgrading hosting

Run the calculator twice: once with your current setup and once with planned changes to see the improvement before you invest time.
